When I married my husband, he wanted to raise sheep. I thought he was crazy. I was the one from a small farm of cows, goats, and chickens. He told me his dad always wanted to have a sheep farm. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with leukemia at the age of 26 and so my hubby wanted to fulfill his dream.

So after much discussion, and my hesitation, we purchased our first ewe and ram - a Romney & Lincoln mix, a majacraft spinning wheel, a hand carder and thus our journey began.

Thirty plus years later, and you can hardly pull us away from our flock and spinning wheel. Our sheep bring joy to our lives, and spinning their wool is relaxing. We know when we finish any project made with their warm, fluffy wool we take pride in knowing that those projects will last for many years. Read More
